Our Programs

Our Early childhood program is designed such that our children experience a different room for each subject and have various activities in each classroom. According to Dr Montessori the first six years of a child’s life, he/she goes through ‘sensitive periods’ during which time the child is particularly receptive to certain stimuli.

  • The ‘Circle Time’ room is where the children gather, bond and sing songs and get prepared for their classroom studies which is in a very hands – on setting. We also have a corner which is our Library in case a child wants to go and read a book or wants some quiet time.
  • The ‘Practical life’ area teaches him/her how to care for self and the environment. The exercises such as pouring, polishing, sweeping, folding, plaiting, threading, washing and a variety of dressing frames such as buttons, hooks & eyes, zips, laces, buckles and bows are very important for the physical and mental development of the child. This area also includes a number of ‘grace and courtesy’ exercises to help children learn that courtesy, good manners and consideration for others are important qualities.
  • The ‘Sensorial’ room is designed to have self correctional sensorial apparatus to help develop and refine the child’s sensory awareness. Here, the child will learn to judge different heights, lengths, weights, colors, sounds, smells, shapes and textures. The child is encouraged to use precise terminology to explore and classify through the use of materials graded from the simple to the more complex.
  • Reading, writing, phonetics, storytelling, grammar, and arithmetic develops the child in his intellectual development. We have two rooms which aid them in these fields.
  • The science room has them exploring plants and lifecycles of bees, mosquitoes and teaches them about rocks and minerals. Geography and History is so interesting when taught to them in the form of puzzles and timelines.
  • To help express their creative ideas the daily curriculum also includes painting, coloring, drawing, singing, music, dance, playing with sand and water etc. For physical development, the children are encouraged to play outside in a safe and soft ground adjacent to the classroom.
  • Each activity has an age designation and thus the Montessori curriculum is divided into Playschool going into Nursery and Kindergarten. We accept children from ages 1.5 years to 5.5 years for the regular Toddler and Early Childhood Montessori program and from the age of 9 months to 1.5 years for the Mother Toddler program. Going into Grade 1 the children have to be 6 years of age. We take children till they turn 9 years of age.
  • Martial Arts, Mandarin Chinese, Drawing get introduced in Kindergarten adding on more subjects from Grade 1 to maximize exploration, creative and independent learning.
